Winter Buddies

Spring is finally here *dancing alanta* but my friends in a place like CA where bipolar weather rains supreme, it can snow any time. In all things i like living here so mek i no complain too much. Winter is so drying so ladies gotta have reinforcement to kill the spirit of ashiness and bad odor. Ah yelz in these parts people can stay 1wk without taking a bath i. I know this because i use public transit so my nose has encountered things LAWWWWD

This is how I survived winter

The st Ives Body wash in oat meal and shea butter has been good to be people ah. It has this moisturizing feel to it and trust me in the winter you need all the moisture in the world. I usually don't like body wash cause i always felt like stock fish after using one. As in my skin would feel so dryyy. I don't know but i think its the shea butter in this wash that keeps my skin supple. I bought like 3 in the sinter season, that's how much my skin is loving it. It has a rich creamy consistency and lathers very well (i loveeee lather).

You can purchase this from your closest walmart, shoppers, giant tiger or on www.well.ca

Price range ($6-$8)

My next items are VASELINE!!!!

I am forever loyal to the cocoa radiant and cocoa butter petroleum jelly. With these products I don't have to keep oiling my skin. Once i've moisturized in the morning, I'm set to for the whole day. What i do is i mix the lotion and petroleum jelly to get a long lasting moisturizing effect. I've been doing that since SINCE!

FINALLY MY FAB FIVE

Haha my fab 5 oh yes! From left to right
1) Vaseline in convenience size: Please i have dropped all these fancy hand creams that keep my hand moisturized for 5 secs. On to better things eh!. I keep this tube in my bag to maintain my hand moisture. My nail beds break alot in the winter due to dry skin. I tried everything but i've discovered that simple vaseline does the trick. Back to basics people! Vaseline is the greatest hahaha

2) Dove Body Mist: This is in cucumber and green tea scent. Please this mist is ALWAYS in my bag because my nose is sensitive. The spray keeps me smelling nice at ALL times, so incase am on the bus and my nose is suffering, I would be able to bury my head in my scented clothes :) Smart eyyyy

3) Hand sanitizer: This is the MOST important item in the winter. People you need this the flu is real. With the way people be sneezing and touching doors and handles, you gotsa be hextra careful BIKO. Hands are notorious germ carriers, so i keep a hand sanitizer in my bag. Visit the dollar store. They have enough

4) Nivea lip balm: I don't need to talk to much. Lips need moisture its not nice carrying white lips up and down the place. Treat your lips nicely please. Its on your face and one of the first things people see. Keep them moisturized

5) Last but not least ROBB!!!!!
I grew up on robb man. My parents always used it as a soother when i felt cramps or when i had a cold (catarrh lol). I honestly can't tell you why i use this in the winter but one thing is it generates some sort of inner heat hahaha. It's my 'to use' item before sleeping. I use it on my sides, chest and neck. The downside is that i'm filled with nostalgia each time i smell the ointment, memories just flood in. I miss home sha.

Have a good easter weekend.
Jesus is the reason for the season
Don't ever forget the sacrifie that was made for you and I

However, Before I dipp

This was my Good Friday! OTT is beautiful forreal

Weekend Paroles

This weekend has been such a blast. I took a break from school and all the loadt lol and chilled with my ANY (all nations youth)  fam. It was too legit. I am in the youth choir and this song is what we're on. At first i wasn't into it but with several listens the lyrics have been ingrained in the heart of yours truly. So listen and remain blessed

So why was my weekend a blast? Well, I attended a 'women's net' organised by the women of my church. It's basically a gathering of women who want to grow and learn in the Lord. There were women of all ages in attendance yo. I had so much fun learning from the older generation. Honestly, I am always happy to hear from the experienced bunch. You get to learn what not to do, what to do, how to handle relationships, men, school, life, prayer. Infact everything under the sun and this is exactly what I need right now (Guidiance). I am only 21...i don't know much..so when older ladies talk i like to draw my ear :)

Then my ANY bro had a birthday partay :). Ahh it felt good to unwind and be yourself. There is justsomething about being amongst young people who are REAL. As in young people who are unashamed to declare Christ. There is so much peace in that sort of atmosphere. There is no need to act 'cool', you are able to share your struggles and set backs with your Walk. That is, thank God for the  blood. It sets you free in the most unimaginable way. There is nothing like peace of mind in Christ Jesus especially in this crazy world of today, deciet is only a conversation away #true talk. Surround yourself with people that challenge you, that stir up your christian faith, that speak life into you. It is so easy to walk by flesh and not by the SPIRIT (Galatians 5 vs 16)
"So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh" (NIV)

Before I dipp, here is my weekend FOTD
Hi there :)
"simple look for a simple weekend"

Women's net excitment :)

Evening glam

Kedu :)

Today I conquered my fears and tried makeup on someonelse's face other than mine. Lol i've had a phobia for doing makeup for people because my first try at it went pretty bad (this was in early '012). However, i was just starting out hahaha so can't beat myself up about it (I could not blend my own eye shadow talkless of blending for another person lol). Here is a pic of my girls :), they stopped by my house from work and i was like 'lets have a makeup party'. They agreed and we got jiggy :)

I try or i no try? i think sey i try sha lol

A festival of lippies

Hi :)

Don't know who am hailing but to those who are actually reading, or just looking or stalking, anihow the thing be....i dey hail o!

I decided to have a lip fest today because i've been so busy with clinical rotations i havn't had time to even be expressive, like its bad. I hope the looks make sense because its only boredom that drives my 'expressiveness' lol.. honestly. Before this post i had not worn makeup in over 2wks...abi is it 1 week and something :? (can't recall) but i have missed it soooo mush. The reason why my beloved and I have been apart is because of school o. Like my rotations give me no motivation to even wear eyeliner. It is that bad. Today sef you should have seen me...i woke up at 4.00am to catch the 6.26am bus for my 6.45 clinical rotation (on a saturday o). Like my big eyes looked like peas cause i was so sleepy. Thats why after clinicals, I decided to chill the rest of the day and do something 'not so nursing like'. This post consists of one eye look with different lip shades. I did this cause, I've realized that lipsticks can really transform a look from vampy, to cotton candy to neutral and i wanted to share the transformations. Enjoy sha :)
I decided to try this vampy thing but since i don't have the cash to get
something vampy from mac or makeup forever so I decided to make a combo
The products used are very very cheap. So those on a budget can jump at this
I basically coated my lips with a balm ofc and used a black eyeliner to prime my lips.
The lipstick is something is got from nigeria for 500 naira. Its called black raspberry by
Island beauty.
Now it does not have staying power like your usual brand name lipstick but if
you don't mind re-applying BE MY GUEST :)

For the lips I combined a lipstick by Island beauty called Pure pink
(cost 500 naira)
with the kate moss (101) by rimmel (her lipstick line is divine)
This one is a mix of the sleek's naked and yve's rocher/s pistil brun
Said i was gon try the combo right?...well am ruffing the results :)

Now do you see how lipsticks can either cause havoc or beauty LOL. The last look has to be my fave. But before i dip. A message to my students outchea...
I don't understand why people are shuffering and shmiling to get a brand name lipstick when you can combine a
500 naira lippie with a 100 naira lip liner to look vampylicious hehehe

Rocher Club :)

I honestly think am in love!... The long search for the perfect foundation has finally come to an end o! like cinderella my long awaited prince (foundation) has come for me #nowdoingtheharlemshake lol ...WHOAA...bye bye mac :P..hellowww yves rocher. I wore the foundation to class today and Lawwd the thing matched my skin perfectly like perfectly. The foundation does not feel  heavy on the skin almost feels like nothing is there. I used mac's mineralized skin finish to set the foundation but my country people thats about to change. I have heard so much about Iman's blotting powder and its oil blotting effects. I am sorry but mac i'll be switching to my african sister soon :). Honestly, I find mac  too oily for comfort mbok! The studio fix fluid foundation can testify to the oiliness. So i rest my case

Because i was happy with results, I made a cheer for Yves Rocher goes like this :Yves Rocher your the best...Noo ther store can compare..GOOOO YVES! *spirit fingers*

:P Yes thats how much i loveth the foundation.

Plus the comments i got today on my foundation *fans self girllll* had me feeling too funky

The only con i found is that the foundation gets oily...(like every other foundation). However, you don't need to constantly blot unlike the studio fix fluid (in my opinion) which makes my face look like a pot of cooking oil after 2hrs or less :|

On my way to school
After 6hrs of school..no touch ups

So my country people..consider yves rocher o! I have joined the pickup truck and am staying on it. Finally in the yves rocher club boo! Don't sleep on a wheelbarrow join in lol

Kachifuo (#igbo for goodnight)

The beautiful Yves Rocher

http://smartcanucks.ca/yves-rocher

My friend had been been raving about yves rocher for the longest time but I paid no mind. Until

yesterday hehehe, while I was wandering about in the mall, looking for a fido kiosk o! I got distracted

by the pretty yves store. Truly that place fine die and the customer service is fantastic (well the one in

carlingwood mall).

I discovered that they have a range of foundation shades from fair- deep medium skin tones. Which is

not bad unlike body shop that has a range of fair-medium. Like booboo the colors stop at caramel so

girls like me who are slightly deeper than caramel...nathing for you there.

I got yves medium weight foundation in Brun 600, thats what it looks like and ofc a lipstick. I am

becoming a lippie collector but I bind that spirit!

a swatch of yves rocher's pistil brun
The color is called pistil brun and its semi matte with a 4 hour hold. I wanted a deep color for my

collection so hey why not.
http://www.sleekmakeup.com/lips/lip-colour/true-colour
Sleek's Naked
I'd wear pistil brun as a combo with sleek's naked lipstick (above) on a brown smokey eye. I feel like

i'd achieve the perfect nude combo. I'd have to try it out sha

I got a gift item with my purchase & alot of samples. Another great thing is that they accept SPC :D :D

:D As in 40% off your make up items. If thats not a deal then i dont know what is. So for my canadian

beauty lovers go hop on the spc wagon its like $9 to get one. Also the items are returnable (if its not a

final sale) within 30days just hold the receipt.
Foundation: $27 spent $16.20

Lipstick: $18 spent $10

Purse: Free gift item

Finally, I spent a total of $29.61, you know the ontario tax system...so yh

I'll do an update on if its a yes/no to yves rocher

Mint loving

Hallo >ibo accent<

I know someone is reading so this is to my readers, or my passers by...'ke unu di', 'how una dey', 'wassup utunu'?? LOL how far jor.

So while doing school work boredom hit me so as usual i ran to my playstation :D .Yeah boys and girls I ran to my makeup play station and created this look

If am sparkling too much, its my flash no vex
I basically used the sleek 'me, myself and I palette' (yawa them don discontinue the palette pele) here is a link to sleek though http://www.sleekmakeup.com/eyes/shadows/i-divine.  My pixie woo and Bella bellissima brushes helped me achieve this look. They are found at walmart for 18 dollars which is really good for the quality. I have brushes from the elf essential collection and trust, compared to pixie and bella brushes, elf brushes are hard mehn. But I think pixie woo brushes are pretty alright too for the hype. Maybe cause its 'the pixie woo', that created the product, that was why the hype was almost choking me, overall the brush set is a good buy. The brushes are dense, soft, handles are cute and it comes in a cute packaging. Dem packaging dey on point so ama give it an A1 :)

The angled brush is great for highlighting brows cause the hair is dense

Are you a learner? camman! combine those lippies :P
On my lips are 3 lippies>>> the Rimmel Kate101, Rimmel Kate 10 & MK amber suede
I gots some fun poses too *runs to hide*
The 'trying to look cute pose' hehe
The 'weekend pout' pose

The 'who gone check you boo?' pose lolzz

HAPPY SATURDAY YALL! Now back to nursing theories
